When I stopped posting on this blog, I stopped paying the annual fee to keep the word “wordpress” out of the blog address. I was warned that, once I stopped paying for the domain, someone else could buy it, but I thought, “What is the likelihood that someone would want TheDailyGraff as their website name?”
Evidently, a site called “Decoration Interior” somehow thought that TheDailyGraff made sense for their posts of home-decor photos. Click on this link to see the new owners: https://thedailygraff.com
How to Access all MY Blog Posts
You will always be able to access the posts from both this blog and my new one, but you must use these links that contain the word “wordpress” in the URL):
https://theaftergraff.wordpress.com (I am ending this blog at the end of April.)
Interested in a Newsletter?
Although I don’t know if I will be blogging again, I’m considering putting out an occasional, very informal e-mail newsletter with personal updates, humor, commentary, new poems, photos, etc. If you would like to be put on the mailing list (to remain “in the loop”), e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If I get enough interest, I’ll put out the newsletter from time to time.
In hindsight, I wish I had continued paying the small annual fee for the domain name that I used for 7 years. I’m fortunate that the name wasn’t purchased by a nefarious user. In case you had bookmarked my site, I just wanted you to know that I’m not now in the home-decor business.

A BEGINNING: The feature you have come to know as the “Weekend Postcards” will continue (starting July 1) as “This Week’s Wisdom” on my new, eclectic, WEEKLY blog:
If you want to see what I’ll be up to (after a month off), you can go there now to check out the layout or to subscribe, but I will post a reminder here when the posts start on the new site.
The new site will not have funny-captioned photos, and it will be less structured. In addition to an inspirational quote each week, I will post a feature photo (“This Week’s Photo”) and a paragraph or an essay (“This Week’s Words”) on whatever topic strikes my fancy (sometimes humorous, sometimes serious).
THE END: THANK you for following me, for all the “likes,” and for all the stimulating, engaging comments. It has been a privilege to have been invited into your inboxes. I took the responsibility seriously: I never missed a scheduled post in all the past seven years. Here is the post that started it all on November 1, 2010:
And now, for those of you who like numbers, here are the final statistics:
