John’s Not ENTIRELY Stumped

Here I stand, fitting image for the end of the laffs;
John’s moving on from writing Daily Graffs.

John, I’m sure you must be feeling “tree-mendous” guilt for leaving your legions of faithful followers bereft & alone, with no TDG to give them hope. I’m sure I speak for many when I say most of us will manage (barely) to make it through each day without your entertaining, whimsical, sometimes downright wacky snapshot view of life, but many will require extensive & expensive counseling – although someone who thinks fruits, plants & various household items talk to each other might need a little therapy himself. I’ve already noticed a decline in my Kenny on Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday. He slowly shuffles to his computer & sits down with a long sad sigh, well aware there will be no “happy snappys” to start off his day. On those days he waits, wane & wasted, wandering weak & witless without those wonderfully wacky Johnisms (is it possible to change your name to Willy or Waldo?). Don’t let the guilt weigh on you just b/c a huge black cloud hangs over his head. At least you were able to wean him & many others off gradually with your “Almost Daily Graff”. I don’t want you to feel too badly about deserting the masses who will be bashed & battered by despair. Don’t let the guilt affect your health, Kenny & most of the others will probably recover….some day. The sun will shine again, though not as brightly; the birds will still sing, though somewhat off-key; & the world will still turn though slightly off kilter.

Oh, Cookie! You just graced my blog with the longest comment it ever got in its entire 7-year run! Thanks for the well-wrought feedback! I plan to support Kenny’s mental health though home visits (via e-mail).

I think somebody pruned that tree too far. I don’t think it will come back.
Tree people wanted $250 to remove the tall, dead tree down that far but wanted an additional $150 to take out this stump. I can cover it with a few dollars of flowering vines. [Aren’t you glad I’m not disappearing completely? Where else would you get all this value-added feedback on your comments?]
So, what’s next John? I know you can’t stop giving of yourself. Will miss your Gaffs!
